About Us
Welcome to L'Amour À la Croix! We are a dedicated non-profit organization rooted in the love of Jesus, committed to bringing healing, hope, and freedom to Africa’s most vulnerable populations, specifically children at risk and women affected by abuse and prostitution.
Our Story
Founded in the United States, L'Amour À la Croix was established to serve and uplift women and children around the world. In January 2023, our journey brought us to Ziguinchor, Senegal. Here, we quickly recognized the urgent needs of the local community, particularly among street children who were often seen begging for food and money.
What We Do
At L'Amour À la Croix, our ministry is dedicated to addressing both immediate needs and fostering long-term development. In Ziguinchor, we expanded a local initiative to provide breakfast to street children from once a week to three times a week, ensuring they receive regular nutrition. Recognizing the importance of education, we also began teaching French to these children, equipping them with essential language skills for future opportunities.
In addition to our work with children, we are actively involved in helping a local organization establish a clinic. This clinic aims to provide crucial healthcare services to the community. Our role includes providing practical support, sharing resources, and helping with the setup and operation of the clinic. Through these efforts, we strive to share the love and compassion of Christ, ensuring that healthcare is accessible to those in need and that the community feels supported and cared for.
Our efforts are deeply rooted in community engagement. We build strong, Christ-centered relationships with local residents, understanding their needs, and working together to develop sustainable solutions. We also invite individuals and teams to join us in Senegal, offering accommodations for those who wish to visit, volunteer, or participate in our programs.

Our Vision
Our vision extends beyond immediate aid. In 2018, one of our founders, Océane, received a vision of creating a refuge for women and children—a sanctuary that includes a clinic, a maternity ward, and a dedicated area for prayer. This vision drives our efforts to establish comprehensive support systems for women affected by abuse and prostitution, providing them with a safe space for recovery and spiritual growth.
We aspire to create a long-lasting impact by empowering the local community through education, healthcare, and spiritual support. By fostering transformative relationships with Christ, we aim to build empowered, self-sustaining communities that reflect His love and compassion.
